Eligibility
Any full-time student enrolled in a jewelry, metal smithing or related program at a secondary institution in Wisconsin.
Rules of Entry
- Items must be made under the supervision of an instructor.
- Metals can be gold, silver or any alloy the student chooses.
- Synthetic stones may be used.
- Entry limit is one piece per category and you may enter one or all categories.
- Pieces must be original designs, created and crafted by the person entering them.
Judging
The entries will be judged by qualified people in the fashion & jewelry industry. The criteria for judging the design pieces will be based on; workmanship, design, wearability and attention to detail. Each design piece has a maximum cost of $350.

Entry Deadline
Entries must be received no later than Friday, February 29, 2008. Late entries will be disqualified.
Awards
All participants will receive an Award of Merit certificate. First Place winners will receive a plaque.
Best of Show
We will select a Best of Show piece and the winner will receive a Gemmy Award.
Return Policy
All entry pieces will be mailed to the Institution by Registered Mail within one week of the Expo. If participants wish to pick their piece(s) up at the Expo, you may do so after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2008 with a picture ID.
Insurance
You are responsible for insuring your entry piece(s). While WJA will handle all design pieces entered with care, neither WJA, Wisconsin Merchants Federation nor their officers, employees and representatives will be responsible for the loss, theft or damage of property submitted for judging. Each design entrant agrees to hold harmless WJA, their Board of Directors and WMF against any and all actions that may arise out of theft, damage, or destruction of design pieces submitted for judging.
